This is the first of 3 pictures. This accident happened on a Sunday in July on State Route 18 and Hartland Center road. The driver of this car was drunk and had NO driving privileges!! The results of this accident would change the live's of everyone involved. This driver ran a stop sign striking a car east bound on 18 putting it into a spin and knocking it into a west bound pickup!! The driver of the purple car and his passenger walked away!! (Like most drunks do!)

This is the car the purple one hit. This car was west bound on RT 18. I doubt this guy knew what hit him! This guy was also DUI as it turned out. He lived for about 10 min (Just long enough for the blood to flow from his body) He also had massive trauma to his body. The ambulance was 20 minutes away on a good day. There was nothing that anyone could have done but standby and watch this young man die....

This is the 3rd vehicle involved in the accident. It was an older couple going to visit their grand children for a birthday party. The force of the red car hitting it was so great that not only did it stop the truck in it's tracks, it knocked it back 2 feet!! The force of the impact split the red car in half (This is not uncommon anymore with the lack of full frame cars these days) I get them fairly often, Just something to keep in mind!! Both people in this car survived, However the Grandmother has spent over 1 year going for surgery and therapy and will be for the rest of her life as she is now in a wheelchair...

This is a call I got one fall night when the truck was so smashed it was hard to get the "JAWS of LIFE" to be effective. I had to use the tow truck to spread the truck apart so they could get the JAWS to get the driver out. He survived but now has more hardware in his legs than most hardware stores! Total time getting him out from the time of the accident...Just over 1 hour. That's a long time to wait!!
